A Fresh Start: Creating a Calm and Stylish Bathroom Sanctuary
This customer had recently moved into their property and was keen to update the bathroom as one of their first major improvement projects—prioritising both functionality and contemporary style. After an initial site survey with Barney providing a detailed labour quotation outlining the full scope of work, the customer visited the Herts Bathrooms showroom to select their preferred products and finishes.
A key design focus was the use of brushed brass throughout the room. This warm metallic finish was incorporated through the Aqualla basin tap, heated towel rail, shower handset, and wall outlet. Complementary accessories—including the shower rack, toilet roll holder and towel ring—were chosen from Armera, ensuring a cohesive and refined look.
To contrast beautifully with the brass tones, the customer opted for a black-framed quadrant shower enclosure from Flair. This tied in perfectly with the Echo Arena illuminated mirror from Sonas, creating a balanced blend of bold accents and soft warming details. The basin unit and basin were supplied by Roper Rhodes, adding clean lines and practical storage.
For the shower area, Multi Panel Stone Elements boards were installed, offering a durable, stylish alternative to traditional tiling, we are seeing a real trend in the use of these for practical preference in many recent bathroom projects.
The installation was led by Gareth, who handled the full bathroom rip-out and preparation for the contractors. The room was then re-plastered by Tommy from Wallcoat, ensuring a flawless finish for the renovation and perfect base of the shower boards to adhere to. After the furniture had been fitted and pipework connects, Lui from MP Flooring installedLifestyle Colosseum Distressed Oak flooring, adding natural texture and warmth, while decorator Danny Perman completed the project with the final decorative touches.
The result is a beautifully updated bathroom that blends modern materials, elegant finishes, and thoughtful craftsmanship throughout.
