Feature Media Wall Installation for a Contemporary Home
Media walls have become a highly popular trend in modern home design, offering a sleek, integrated way to combine entertainment, warmth, and storage in one striking feature wall. We completed this custom-built media wall for a residential property, the owner was looking to create a striking feature within their living space.
The brief called for a clean, modern installation that combined an inset electric fire, the Onyx Avanti supplied by Gazco, with a wall-mounted TV above, complemented by practical yet stylish shelving to complete the overall design.
We constructed a bespoke stud framework to house the recessed fire and create the correct mounting depth for the TV, achieving precise alignment, safe heat clearances, and a perfectly centred visual focal point, with wiring fully concealed to maintain a seamless finish.
The addition of three bespoke shelves on either side of the central fire and TV provide both display and storage options, creating symmetry and enhancing the wall’s architectural presence.
Once the framework was complete, the entire wall was boarded, plastered and finished to a smooth, modern standard, ready for decorating. The integrated electric fire offers a realistic flame effect and adjustable heat output, while the recessed TV sits neatly above it, creating a balanced and contemporary centrepiece.
The finished media wall successfully transformed the living room into a stylish and functional entertainment space.
